Cheat:

Double Deadly Attack

For a deadly attack, press X repeatedly as fast as you can until you hear a "kriiing" sound.

Extra Money

This is a way to get extra money if you don't have the correct version for the bug trick. In Daytime Luna, go to the north-east most building. Talk to the first man. When it's a "Mystic Vase" sell it to the other man in the room. If it is any other kind of vase, firedrake, thunder, etc., sell it to the weapons man.

Infinite Money

This bug allows you to gain as much money as you need. To execute it equip any character with a ring, then sell that ring. You'll receive the money, but the ring will still be equipped and you can sell it again! Repeat as needed. Note: This code is actually a bug in early versions of Beyond the Beyond. It has since been fixed and may not work in your copy.

Resurrection Spell

Take the boat to the north east of Marion, and you will find a alcove of rocks. If you sail to the end of this alcove, you will be able to get off the boat and on the rocks. Travel 1 space east and you will enter a cave. In the cave is a pot. Look in the pot and Merlin the master magician will appear and give one of your characters the Resurrection Spell. Don't forget to look in the flames around the pot. There's some cool stuff in there.

Secret Characters

There are at least three secret characters hidden in this game. Here's how to find them: Lorele can be found in the ruined castle of Barbaros. Go through the exit near the priest and head towards the stairs in the back. Push the right walls near the stairs until you find a secret entrance. This will lead you to Lorele.

Percy is the Black Night. All you have to do to get him is NOT fight him for about 15 rounds. He'll run away, but join your party later.

Tont can be found on your way to Simone (to get the counsel of Arawn's high priest). On your way there you pass through a cave maze. At one point you come to a place where there are two doors right next to each other. The right leads to Simone, while the left brings you to another part of the mountain. Climb to the top from the left side, and you will see a large emerald. Pick it up and take it with you. Find your way back onto the right path, and head for Simone. While there, go to the home of the summoner of the west side of town. He will say he needs the jewel you retrieved. Give it to him and watch the sequence. Afterward, a little blob will follow behind you. Try to exit the town to retrieve Tont.

Secret Intro

Before the actual title screen appears, press and hold Up + Triangle to view a cool intro.

Getting Percy back

You will fight the Black Knight near the end of the game in the Sand Caves just before the exit. This is really Percy. When he attacks, run away. Keep running until the curse is broken and Percy will join the team again.

The Light Orbs

Ever wonder what those light orbs given by the god's assistant were good for? The orbs can also be used for Speed Traveling: When you've cleared Arawan's Tower and have gotten at least 6 characters, you can travel very quickly to towns and places you've visited. Put the unwanted 6th player in the town you've visited and want to visit. Then get one of your players to use his/her Light Orb. Teleport to the town instantly.

Access to treasure chests

Remember all of those treasure chests that you could not access without a certain key? Well, it just so happens that the key is located in the cave of the sleeping dragon. Go get the key and you now have access to all of the treasure chests and the mighty dragon sword. But note that the key will not be there until you have reached the enclosed valley.

Treasure chest locations

* In the cave of the sleeping golden dragon. Go to the house where a treasure chest with the sword awaits you.

* There are two chests in Bandore. One is in the upper floor of the inn. The other is located in the dungeon cells of the castle.

* There is one in the magical village of Simone. Go in the tree and there will be a treasure chest on the bottom 2nd floor.

APS (Active Playing System)

Your characters may be able to perform special attacks by pressing special button sequences. The only reliable one is rapidly pushing X either:

Before a character is about to attack (resulting in a double attack)
Before a monster is about to attack (resulting in a guard or counterattack)
Before a character recovers from grogginess (resulting in gaining more VP).
Another suggestion is to hit X repeatedly while either holding Up or Down. Holding Up when a blue diamond appears result sin the double attack and Down when the diamond is gold results in the super attack.

Running away

Tired of fighting those monsters every 3 steps? Then run! Running is quite easy to do in this game and you are not penalized anything for it (except that you gain no exp. points, of course).

Making More Money (Japanese version)

If you are equipped with any of the magical rings, go ahead and sell it. However, make sure that it is equipped first. Once you sell it, you will notice that you are still wearing it and you are 7,500 gps richer. Keep on repeating the process until you reach 99,999 gps. Go out and buy stuff.

Bonus party members and items (Japanese version)

Hold Right and press Circle, Triangle, X , Square, X, Triangle, Circle, X, Circle, Square, Start when "Press Start" appears during the opening sequence.

Uru: Ages Beyond Myst is the next chapter of the Myst franchise and the most immersive and ambitious Myst experience ever created. The game is bigger, better, and more innovative than any of the previous Myst adventures. Players can move at their own pace, spending hours discovering visually stunning, real-time 3D worlds, solving a large variety of mind-challenging puzzles, and following an epic storyline. Players can continue to discover new areas of D'ni by downloading new maps, worlds, and puzzles.

The Story of Uru

The story of the D'ni civilization began when they established their underground empire on Earth some 10,000 years ago. While living beneath the Earth's surface, the D'ni practiced what they called the "Art of Writing," which enabled them to create links to incredible, alternate worlds of fantastic variety called "Ages," to which they could travel through "Linking Books."

The D'ni people thrived for thousands of years, but later met with a great catastrophe that all but ended their civilization. Their vast cavern was left uninhabited, and their Linking Books and Ages seemed lost forever.

Then, in the late 1980s, a few humans from the surface discovered that cavern. One of these humans was Elias Zandi. He devoted the rest of his life to exploring and, eventually, restoring that ancient city in the D'ni cavern, preparing to one day reveal their discovery to those who were suddenly feeling irresistibly drawn to the cavern.

When he passed away in 1996, his legacy was divided between a foundation that he set up and his only son, Jeff Zandi. The foundation came to be known as the DRC (D'ni Restoration Council). As their name implies, they took on the task of physically restoring the ruins of the D'ni cavern. If you choose to visit the cavern at some point, you're sure to run into them.

Jeff Zandi, on the other hand, was interested in learning why the D'ni civilization fell in the first place. He continued studying the teachings of Yeesha, by far the most talented of all the D'ni writers, and daughter of Atrus and Catherine. After years of learning, the younger Zandi is finally comfortable bringing others to an uru (a D'ni word meaning "large gathering" or "grand community").

On your way to the cavern, if you decide to join us, it might be a good idea for you to learn some of the great teachings of Yeesha. Experience the adventure of a lifetime, Uru: Ages Beyond Myst.
