Hot Springs Warp Trick
Looking for a quick way to get back to your farm? Go to the area below the Hot Springs and run into the second tree (from above). You will now warp back to your farm.1000 gold
Move next to your dresser near your bed, then press A.Always have a sunny day
Note: This trick works only if you have not obtained all the building extensions. Go to the builder, and ask him to build something. The next day will always be sunny, no matter what weather forecast appeared on the television.Get a cow
I have an easy way to get a cow. They are your money makers. Plant grass all over your cow field and the shopkeeper will allow you to buy both a chicken and a cow. Plant crops only near the shipping bin. Or if you have a horse, plant anywhere. On your free time go fishing. If it's a rainy day the odds are you're going to get sick. Do your chores and go to the hot springs for an hour, then go to the resturant and eat a lot. After you have done all that, go to the hospital to make sure you are okay. Even if you aren't, you will stay at the doctor's and not miss a day by being sick.Golden chicken
Trade a chicken using the trade menu in the library and it will become a golden chicken. It lays eggs that sell for 500G and you can sell golden chickens for 10,000G.All powerberries
All but one powerberry can be obtained on your farm in the beginning of the game. Plow your field often. The last one is across the river. You need to get one. It costs 200 lumber and 10,000 gold.Warp location
Go behind the Hot Springs. There is a location in a tree that you can walk through. This will warp you to on the ranch, next to your house. This can help bring berries to your bin faster.Avoiding hurricanes
During the month of Summer, check the television for weather reports around the 11th and 21st. If the television says that there will be a hurricane, the next morning go to Ken and ask him for an estimate for a building. When you wake up the next day, you will go out and Ken will talk to you. Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland takes the Harvest Moon series in a new direction by offering a deeper and more robust role-playing experience than past titles. It might be best described as a life simulation. The object is to successfully save the village from turning into a resort. Construction begins in a year, so you must find a way to rescue your homeland within that time frame. Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland will offer nine unique ways in which to complete your task, and focuses more attention on relationships over profit. Befriending the people in town is the key to successfully completing your task. This is the first Harvest Moon title to be in a true 3-D environment. It looks much more realistic without losing the cute animation style for which the series is known.
There are 20 new characters--each with his or her own unique personality--richly detailed 3-D environments, and enhanced interaction with animals, including dog training and horse racing. Other compelling details include the ability to collect and cook recipes, real-time character movement, and the capacity to obtain helpful objects by doing part-time jobs.
