Unlimited T-7 Bombs

In most of the magazines there are boxes with t-7 bombs in them go up to the box and get the bomb. Open it again and you will get another bomb. They are unlimited but you can only carry 20 t-7 bombs. This trick will work in almost every box that holds the t-7 bombs.

Pop Heads

Unlike Resident Evil, Carrier's fine aim allows you to see where you aim at on a zomebie. Attack the head as much as possible to increase the chance a shot will "pop" the zombie's head, saving you valuable ammunition.

Description:
The survival horror game Carrier succeeds in being creepy, but this uneven game is still not exactly terrifying. As one of the few Dreamcast games in this genre, this ambitious game offers solid enough gameplay to justify a purchase--assuming that you've already picked up the superior Resident Evil: Code Veronica.

Carrier takes place in the war-ravaged future, when an explosion rocks the warplane carrier Heimdal. Not long afterward, strange (and generally unpleasant and violent things) start happening aboard the ship. As special-forces trooper John Ingles (and later, Jessifer Manning), you've been called in to investigate what went wrong. While exploring the Heimdal, you'll find that plants have grown like mad throughout the ship. In addition, you'll discover the unfortunate fact that much of the crew has been turned into weird plant/human mutants--many of which are hungry for a diet of humans. Aboard the Heimdal, you'll also have to locate the few remaining people that need rescuing. There's also the matter of locating John's missing kid brother, Robert.

Carrier sticks very close to the tried and true formula of having you hunt for clues, key cards, and guns as you search through the depressing yet very nicely rendered ship. This game is also dark--perhaps even too dark, as you'll soon be reaching for your TV's the brightness controls.

The game controls are very responsive and are so easy to learn--you'll be picking off mutants with ease almost instantly. Also, while definitely not essential, an optional Jump Pack add-on might bring a scare or two to already jittery gamers.

We were disappointed to find that Carrier suffers from one serious (and seriously annoying) drawback. The voice acting on this game is just plain bad--and at times it detracts from the moodiness of the game. The poor acting almost makes Carrier more campy than scary.

Still, this sore spot doesn't kill off the fact that Carrier is a very fun if somewhat unspectacular romp into survival horror. It may even be a good introduction to the genre for mature crowds. While the game is very linear and the puzzles not especially complicated or original, Carrier does have a pretty decent sense of pacing that should keep you playing until the bitter end. --Mark Brooks
